Library Policies
Overview
Students in Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade have a scheduled story time most weeks. Students in grade 2-5 are allowed to come to the library as often as needed to check out books.
Our library has over 11,000 copies of fiction, non-fiction, and picture books available for the children to check out. We also have a reference section that is not available for check-out, but students can use in the library.
There are also many resources available online. See the My Resources link on the media center webpage for more information.
Check-Out Policy
In the Ator Library, we have what is called an open policy. This means that the library is open all day, and students can check out books as often as they like. A book is due two weeks after you check it out. If you are not finished please come by and renew the book.
Overdue, Lost, or Damaged Books
We do not charge any fines for overdue books, however, lost or damaged books will need to be paid for. Reminders are sent out once each quarter through parent email, printed notices, and teacher notification.
